The All-New Suzuki Jimny shines at the Paris Motor Show

Earlier in the year we let you know that the much-awaited Jimny is coming back! Since then, the all-new Jimny has been presented in European spec at the Paris Motor Show. And doesn’t it look great!

The Jimny is coming to Europe with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 101bhp of power. Also, it will not get a diesel engine.

Gearbox options will include a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic version. The 2019 Jimny will also come equipped with a part time four-wheel drive, maintaining its status of robust off-roader. Shift the lever to the 4L mode (4WD- low gear) when the going gets tough for maximum torque and better traction on steep slopes and rough terrain.

Autocar’s James Attwood commented on the cool styling of the 2019 Jimny:

‘The Jimny’s retro-cool styling gives it real appeal, making it a niche car that exists almost in a class by itself. And for the people who need a pocket-sized off-roader, this new model is capable, confident and utterly compelling. Which is probably why Suzuki has already been swamped with interest from eager buyers.’

As James mentions, sign-up of buyers registering their interest in the Suzuki Jimny has reportedly hit unprecedented levels for Suzuki UK – an early sign that the new model is due to be highly sought after!
